All Membership

To be used only for emails approved by the Provincial Executive as necessary to comply with legislation, to inform members about issues directly affecting their pension or benefits, or to ensure that we still have a valid email.

The Pen Newsletter

The Pen Newsletter is produced twice annually. You will receive a notification that the latest issue of The Pen Newsletter is available online. Members are encouraged to sign up for the electronic version of The Pen to reduce administration costs but may select both the electronic and hard copy versions if they desire. The Pen E-blast is a short email sent four times per year highlighting helpful information and services to seniors.

BCGREA Business

Includes information about BCGREA initiatives, governance structure and A.G.M. minutes, and announcements of new Affinity Partnerships or member benefits. Frequency is approximately 4-8 emails annually.

Branch News

Used for correspondence from your Branch Executive related to branch gatherings, social events or outings, branch newsletters and occasional items of interest to members.

BCGREA Merchandise Offerings

This list is used to showcase BCGREA branded items suitable for individual use or for potential gifts or recognition to guest speakers, etc.

Information / Lifestyles and Healthy Living

BCGREA belongs to several umbrella non-profit seniors’ organizations, such as the Council of Senior Citizens’ Organizations of BC (COSCO) and the National Pensioners Federation. Distribution will include information received from these organizations. It will also include information about aging, including health or financial information that we receive from other institutions.

Advocacy Associations

Items in this category will be calls of support on issues relating to seniors. Various organizations send the BCGREA information about potential changes to legislation or healthcare and this list will allow us to forward the information to interested members.

Please note that the position expressed by the third-party association may be partisan and may not reflect the position of the BCGREA.

Partner Eblasts

You will receive commercial electronic messages from our partners that request the opportunity to distribute information highlighting their offerings and opportunities. By subscribing, you will receive occasional commercial electronic messages from partners that do not have a specific list. The partners don’t send you messages. They supply the BCGREA with the content, which is distributed by the BCGREA. So, your email is never shared with our partners unless you contact them directly.
